The Canberra Raiders are urging the bosses of local workplaces to let their staff off early this Friday afternoon, so they can be there for kick-off between the Raiders v Sea Eagles on Friday at 6pm at GIO Stadium.
To help, the Raiders have asked their members and fans to get their bosses to sign the #FridayFreePass, which allows them the chance to finish work a bit earlier this Friday.
Once you’ve had your pass signed, post it on Social Media with the Hashtag #FridayFreePass so others can be encouraged to finish early.

Raiders CEO Don Furner signed the first #FridayFreePass this morning for the team at HQ, so they can make sure they are at the ground nice and early for Friday night’s game.
“The new timeslot of 6.00pm Friday is one we are really excited about and we hope we can continue the wonderful crowds we’ve had so far this season by having a big crowd on hand at GIO Stadium this Friday,” Furner said. “All we’re asking is for bosses to be a little lenient this week and give their employees a little early mark so they can make it for the start of the game.
Round eight of the NRL is ANZAC round ahead of ANZAC Day, with an ANZAC ceremony planned pre-game, including the RMC Band, Catafalque party, The Ode, Last Post and National Anthems for Australia and New Zealand pre-game.
Out of respect to the ANZAC Ceremony the Raiders will not be performing the Viking Clap pre-game and will instead perform the clap as the Raiders run back onto the field after halftime of the NRL match against Manly.
