Round five of the Katrina Fanning Shield will see four exciting match ups, with the headline a top of the table clash along with sides aiming to secure their first win of the season.

Belconnen United Sharks vs Goulburn City Bulldogs, 10:40am Saturday at NSWRL HQ Bruce

The Belconnen United Sharks return home this weekend to face the Goulburn City Bulldogs on Saturday morning.

Fresh off the bye last weekend, the Sharks will be looking to claim their first win off the season on Saturday in front of their home fans.

The weekend will provide the Sharks with their best opportunity of the season to claim their first win in the Katrina Fanning Shield, facing the side one position above them on the competition ladder.

The Goulburn City Bulldogs travel to the home of the Sharks fresh off their first win of the season after an impressive win against the Bushrangers.

The Bulldogs will be looking for Olivia Howe to have another impressive performance as the number nine scored a double in last week’s game and was instrumental in claiming the side’s first two points of the season.

Queanbeyan Blues vs Woden Valley Rams, 10:40am Saturday at Seiffert Oval

The Woden Valley Rams travel to Seiffert Oval to face the Queanbeyan Blues in a top of the table clash which highlights round five of the Katrina Fanning Shield.

After facing their toughest test of the season last weekend and passing with flying colours against the Magpies, the Blues will be looking to test themselves once again against the only team which sits above them on the ladder.

The Rams enter this weekend's blockbuster clash off the back of an impressive 60 point victory over the Kangaroos.

Woden Valley have established themselves as a strong attacking side this season as they have scored most points in the competition, while the Blues can make claim to having the strongest defence conceding the least amount of points.

Fans of both clubs will be hoping their side can make a statement against a fellow title contender on Saturday morning.

Gungahlin Bulls vs Tuggerangong Bushrangers, 12:00pm Saturday at Gungahlin Enclosed Oval

The Tuggeranong Bushrangers travel to Gungahlin this weekend to face the undefeated Bulls on Saturday afternoon.

The Gungahlin Bulls secured a strong twelve point victory over the Warriors last weekend which saw them join the Blues and Rams as the only undefeated teams remaining in the competition.

The Bulls will be looking for a similar performance from Caitlin Turnbull, who crossed the try line four times in last week's victory.

Tuggeranong fell agonisingly short of their first win of the year last weekend against the Bulldogs, however they will take positives from their performance and look to build on them against a strong Bulls lineup.

The Bushrangers will be aiming to claim their first win of the season and will be hoping for a strong performance from fullback Kiralee Eppelstun who scored a try in last week’s contest.

Bungendore Kangaroos vs West Belconnen Warriors, 12:30pm Saturday at Mick Sherd Oval

The Bungendore Kangaroos return home and will welcome the West Belconnen Warriors on Saturday afternoon.

The Kangaroos are still finding their feet in their inaugural season and will be looking for improvement this weekend after a disappointing result last week against the table topping Rams.

The Warriors faced a strong Bulls line up and will take confidence from a twelve point loss against one of the remaining undefeated sides.

West Belconnen have the opportunity for a positive win-loss record with a win on the weekend moving them to two wins and one loss early in the season.
