About
Wheelchair Rugby League is an adaptive, all inclusive-sport – not just a sport for people with a disability. It is a variation of the running game that allows athletes with disabilities to compete with and against able-bodied people.
This inclusivity offers a level playing field for all athletes that few other sports can provide. Wheelchair Rugby League provides an inclusive recreational activity which promotes fun, fitness, and self-development whilst fostering good sportsmanship in a safe and positive environment.

Alongside NRL Wheelchair, Canberra Region Rugby League recognised a social gap in rugby league and wished to expand our identity and reach within the community and junior rugby league in the Canberra region.
We are committed to educating our community and promoting the physical and mental benefits of participating in our adaptive all-inclusive sport. Our sport provides pathways for participants to represent their respective region, state, or country. These pathways contribute to making Wheelchair Rugby League a globally recognised sport.
Canberra Raiders respect and honour the Traditional Custodians of the land and pay our respects to their Elders past, present and future. We acknowledge the stories, traditions and living cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples on the lands we meet, gather and play on.
