Junior Pathways 'Viking' Program

The Vikings Squad is the Canberra Raiders U/18’s Pathway group and comprises of players from all over our “Rugby League Footprint”, that would be eligible for our upcoming SG Ball/Harold Matthews Cup seasons.
The aim of the Vikings program is to value add to players identified by the Recruitment/Pathways staff and to provide further opportunities to prepare a young player to become a future NRL Raider.
Throughout the program players participate in;
- Video review and gameplay education – organised by Pathways Coach Chris Hutchison
- Skill development and game structures – including Pathways Coach and NRL Staff
- Strength and conditioning programs
- Wellbeing sessions run by Raiders NRL staff
- Raider’s history and standards – including NRL staff sessions and questionnaires.
- Matches against other pathway NRL clubs.
In 2023 the Raiders Foundation proudly funded the Junior Pathways Viking Program by sending a squad to New Zealand in July 2023.
