Golf legend Jack Newton, World Champion Boxer Daniel Geale and Television royalty Kerri-Anne Kennerley are just some of the celebrities coming to Canberra on February 24, for the annual Ricky Stuart Foundation Celebrity Pro-am Golf Day and Dinner.

The celebrities involved in the event will be joined by a myriad of wonderful sponsors including Qantas, Audi and Murrays, as the event tees off at the Royal Canberra Golf Club to raise money and awareness for the Ricky Stuart Foundation.

Ricky Stuart said the annual event was going to be bigger and better than ever and said the support the foundation had received so far this year was critical to its success.

“This is a huge day with a number of high profile celebrities and sponsors back on board this year and we are looking forward to a wonderful golf day and dinner function at Hotel Realm,” Stuart said. “The success of the foundation is reliant on support of our sponsors and having big names like Qantas, Audi, Murrays and Sony supporting us is crucial to us being able to continue the great work the foundation does to support families who are dealing with Autism.”

Corporate Sponsors of the event will have the chance to bid for their celebrity playing partners at Kingston Restaurant ‘Me and Mrs Jones’ on February 18, when a Calcutta is held to raise money for the foundation. Last year Deborah Hutton raised $4,000 alone and a total amount of $48,000 was raised during this evening.

The Golf Day will be followed by a gala dinner at Hotel Realm from 6.30pm, with Sony Music providing entertainment on the night from one of their acclaimed artists, with the support of Elite Sound & Lighting.

Sponsorship for the Golf Day is still available. For sponsorship enquiries please contact Sarah Rea via email at sarah@rickystuartfoundation.org

The goal for the event is to raise funds to directly support the after-care for autistic people and help families who struggle daily with autism, as well as leaving a positive, fun and supportive impact on the community.
