NYC TRIAL: Canberra Raiders v Melbourne Storm on Saturday at 4:00pm at Greenfield Park, North Street, Albury

The Canberra Raiders Holden Cup side travels to Albury this Saturday to take on the Melbourne Storm in what will be their second trial for the year.

The young Raiders have already had a successful trial against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs a fortnight ago and the effort of the players left Coach Mick Mantelli optimistic about the year ahead.

Following the win over the Bulldogs, the squad then endured an arduous camp at Bermagui which tested their mental toughness, helped forge bonds between each other and ultimately steeled their resolve ahead of the season.

Leading into the trial against the Storm, Mantelli has made it clear to his young brigade that the game will be one of the final opportunities to press for selection in the squad for 2015.

Canberra’s NYC squad has one more trial before the season commences, taking on the Newcastle Knights at Aubrey Keech Reserve at 4:30pm on Sunday the 22nd of Feburary.
