The Canberra Raiders junior representatives teams will both face a tough test this weekend, taking on the Manly Sea Eagles at Brookvale Oval.

The Harold Matthews (Under 16's) team are coming off a 62-0 thrashing of SWSAS, with coach Adam Kyle expecting a much tougher test this weekend against Manly.

"Manly are traditionally a very strong team, having made the semi-finals in previous years. Coming off a bye we expect them to be fresh and start the match extremely hard," Kyle said.

"The team have put together a really good week of training. The match fitness they have gained the past two weeks has really helped and I expect them the team to take their game to another level this week"

The SG Ball (Under 18's) team are looking forward to a much shorter road trip this weekend, after heading west last weekend to defeat Perth 42-8. Head coach Dean Souter expects Manly to be tough opposition coming off a bye.

"We have been preparing hard all week for the clash against Manly. Assistant SG Ball Raiders Coach Michael Robertson was on Manly's coaching staff last season and has been providing some guidance this week to the group," Souter said.

"Manly are at home and had the bye last week, so we are expecting them to be fresh and ready to go. This is a game we are looking forward to.

"That said, we have been focusing on the things we know we need to improve on no matter who we play. Our completion rate is a big focus point this week as is our hard running game."
