The Roosters scored three tries within the first 20 minutes to beat the Raiders.
Canberra had hopes of claiming the two points as they clawed the deficit back to four points thanks to tries from Harley Smith-Shields and Joe Roberts.
However, the Roosters crossed the try line in the 62nd minute to secure the result.

The Raiders went down in a nail-biter as their comeback from a 12 point deficit fell short.
Captain Clay Webb opened the scoring in the fourth minute of the match before the Roosters scored three tries in nine minutes.
The Raiders hit back strongly in the second half as Livai Kaloutolu scored before Webb scored his second of the afternoon.
However, the Raiders were unable to add to their score in the remaining five minutes as the home side grabbed the win.

Illawarra Steelers 80 d Canberra Raiders 16 (Tries: E Hawke, E Hoffman, M Dodds; Goals: A Ingram, A Cowan)
Despite keeping Illawarra scoreless during the opening quarter, the Canberra Raiders were outclassed at Mollymook Oval.
The Steelers ran in 15 tries during the match while the Raiders managed three of their own.
Emylee Hawke scored the Raiders first try early in the second quarter, while Emily Hoffman and Mackenzie Dodds crossed the line late in the game.
