Goulburn Workers Bulldogs vs Belconnen United Sharks – 3pm, Saturday 16 June at Workers Arena / Live Stream
Round 10 sees the Goulburn Workers Bulldogs take on the Belconnen United Sharks in the Match of the Round at Workers Arena on Saturday afternoon.
The Bulldogs are coming off a heavy 50-24 defeat to the Yass Magpies and will be looking to snap a six-game losing streak against the last placed Sharks.
The need for a win is evident and Bulldogs five-eighth Josh Fattore knows how important a win is this weekend.
"Hopefully this week we can kickstart our season and come home strong. We have to win the majority of our games if we want to make that top four and that has to start this weekend against the Sharks", Fattore said.
The Sharks sit last on the ladder and more pain was added last weekend with a 68-6 thrashing at the hands of the Woden Valley Rams.
The Sharks will be eager for a win and halfback Toby Westcott thinks a win isn't too far away.
"We've been unlucky at times and if we start to hold some consistency we can grab a few wins and knock off some big teams along the way", Westcott said.
Woden Valley Rams vs Tuggeranong Bushrangers – 3pm, Saturday 16 June at Phillip District
The Woden Valley Rams welcome the table topping Tuggeranong Bushrangers on Saturday afternoon in what is expected to be a tightly fought contest.
Woden Valley will be full of confidence to take down the Bushrangers after a 62 point demolition of the Sharks in round 9.
Tuggeranong now sit alone on the top of the ladder after a comprehensive 42-8 win over the Queanbyean Blues on Saturday.
Off the back of a huge win, despite sitting in sixth position, this is the perfect time for the Rams to test themselves against the competitions best.
Queanbeyan Kangaroos vs Gungahlin Bulls – 3pm, Saturday 16 June at Seears Workwear Oval
The Gungahlin Bulls travel to Queanbeyan to face the Kangaroos as they look to grab their second win of the season.
Gungahlin enter this one fresh off the bye and will be aiming to cause an upset against the Bulls who currently sit in the top four.
The Kangaroos had a comfortable 52-22 win over fellow top four side the West Belconnen Warriors in a game that showed the threat they pose this season.
The Bulls will be determined to use the week off as an advantage and put up a good fight against the Kangaroos.
Yass Magpies vs Queanbeyan Blues – 3pm, Saturday 16 June at Walker Park
The Yass Magpies host the Queanbeyan Blues on Saturday afternoon in a big clash in the context of the top four race.
Yass will come in with their confidence levels high after registering their third straight win after a 50-24 victory over the Bulldogs.
The Blues will be out to avenge their top of the table loss to the Bushrangers 42-8 as it saw the side slip to third on the ladder.
With the Blues in third and Magpies in fifth, the two points will be vital as the race for the top four starts to heat up.
