Raiders partner with Canberra Imaging Group

The Canberra Raiders have partnered with local company Canberra Imaging Group (CIG), to ensure the best and fastest diagnosis of player injuries.

Canberra Imaging Group is locally owned and operated, and the new relationship allows two local businesses to combine to produce the best outcomes for the elite athletes at the Raiders.

CIG provides the best quality imaging techniques and equipment, fast turnarounds and around the clock access. Their MRI scanner and staff are on 'standby' when the Raiders are playing at home so that the team medical staff can manage any injury in the timeliest manner possible, to get the players back on the field.

Raiders Head of Physical Performance Nigel Ashley-Jones said the early diagnosis of injuries is paramount to the team's ability to treat players and ensure they return to action as soon as possible.

"The earlier we can diagnose an issue with a player the sooner we can start the appropriate treatment to make sure they are back on the park in optimum time," Ashley-Jones said. "Canberra Imaging Group's around the clock service allows us to find out quicker than ever before about player injuries so our medical staff can ensure the fastest and correct options for treatment.

"We're excited about working with Canberra Imaging Group and its another example of a great local company supporting their local team."

Canberra Imaging Group is a locally owned and operated medical imaging partnership owned by 11 Radiologists, operating in and around Canberra for 60 years. They are dedicated to excellence and pride themselves on having the latest technology and highly skilled staff.
