2018 was quite the year for Emre Guler. The Junior Kangaroos representative made his Raiders and NRL debut towards the backend of the season and the young prop did not look out of place on the field.

For the majority of the 2018 season Emre put in consistent solid performances for Mounties in the Intrust Super Premiership.

With injuries mounting in Ricky Stuart's NRL side, the opportunity for Emre's first grade debut came in round 23 against the Sydney Roosters in what was significant day for the club. Guler's mother presented her son with his debut jersey in what was a highly emotional moment.

Guler marked the occasion by registering over 93 running metres as well as producing 23 tackles in the green machine's 14-12 win at GIO Stadium.

Season statistics:
Games: 3
Runs: 28
Running metres: 269
Post contact metres: 111
Tackles: 57
