The New Zealand international continued to put in brilliant performances for the Club in 2018 however suspension and injury interrupted the young second-rowers campaign.
The former Harbour City Eagles junior was suspended twice throughout the season and unfortunately suffered a broken thumb towards the back end of the season which ruled him out for the remainder of the green machine's 2018 campaign.
Tapine's best performance in 2018 came against the North Queensland Cowboys up in Townsville where the Raiders recorded an 18-8 victory in hot and humid conditions. Tapine made a whopping 53 tackles during the game.
Tapine's strong running game close to the try line has become an asset for the green machine and shortly before departing for the Kiwis tour of England the young forward extended his stay with the Club by re-signing for a further four years.
