The Canberra Raiders have won their second game of their Jersey Flegg campaign, with a 30-12 win over the Parramatta Eels at GIO Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Two tries and five successful conversions from five-eighth Jarrett Subloo helped the Green Machine cruise to an easy victory and put them back into the top eight.
The Raiders started the match in ideal fashion when Matt Timoko crashed over the line from short range.
Parramatta looked to have levelled the scores when their winger went over the line but brilliant defence prevented him from grounding the ball.
Timoko grabbed his second of the afternoon as he beat two defenders to double the Raiders lead.
Jarrett Subloo broke through the line and stepped off his left foot to add another try before halftime to make the score 18-0 in favour of the Raiders.
The five-eighth continued his fine game and scored his second of the afternoon but Parramatta forward Bruce Ward put the his side on the scoreboard.
The Parramatta Eels added a second try on the wing thanks to Haze Dunstar as the margin between the two sides narrowed to 12 points.
The Raiders responded in perfect fashion when Brigham Moekiola sent Darby Medlyn through for a try.
A last ditch effort from the Eels went astray as the Raiders were able to run out victors and clinch a much needed win.
