Junior Representative Wrap: Finals Week Two

A late flurry of tries saw the Central Coast Roosters defeat the Canberra Raiders in the S.G. Ball Cup.

The Canberra Raiders Junior Representative season has come to end after the S.G. Ball Cup side bowed out of the finals series with a 46-16 loss against the Central Coast Roosters at Jubilee Stadium.

Lock forward Mika Taleo got the Raiders off to an ideal start as he crossed over the line but the Roosters worked their way back into the match to claim a halftime 16-10 lead.

Mitchell Souter scored in the second half for the Raiders as the game remained in the balance but four tries in ten minutes for the Roosters secured the match for the Central Coast.

The Roosters progress to the Preliminary Final where they face the Manly Sea Eagles this Saturday.

The loss sees an impressive season for the S.G. Ball Cup side come to end. Meanwhile, the Tarsha Gale Cup side bowed out in the first week of finals and the Harold Matthews Cup team finished outside of the top eight.
