Jersey Flegg Preview: Raiders v Bears

The Canberra Raiders Jersey Flegg side will head to North Sydney Oval on Sunday looking for their third straight win when they take on the North Sydney Bears.

The team enters the match full of confidence, coming off a master class 37-12 win over the Penrith Panthers at McDonalds Park in Wagga Wagga, with hooker Kyle Patterson scoring two tries.

The Bears will be hoping to bounce back from a 26-12 loss to the South Sydney Rabbitohs at ANZ Stadium in Sydney.

Raiders Coach Ash Barnes will be looking to continue his teams impressive form over the past couple weeks with a win against a team looking to get their first one for the season.

“The boys are really starting to build in their confidence in each other and what we are doing… It’s really good at the moment,” says Barnes.

The Raiders’ centres, Matt Timoko, and Harley Smith-Shields will also be looking to continue their dominant pairing. Barnes saying that he is happy with what they are doing for the team.

“They have been really good for us every single week,” said Barnes. “Matt and Harley are improving in their defence and learning each week.”
