Six try-scorers for the Canberra Raiders Jersey Flegg have helped defeat the West Tigers 38-6 at GIO Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
New addition winger Manase Kaho scored a double in the win, whilst the Raiders kept the Tigers to one try.
The Tigers pounced early with prop Michael Fenn charging his way over the try line to score the first of the afternoon.
The Raiders evened up the early score with their first try of the match, with winger Manase Kaho finding his way to the corner.
With five minutes to go in the first half, centre Harley Smith-Shields showed some quick feet to break the Tigers line to score the Raiders second try for the day.
The Green Machine looked open to score with seconds ticking down on the clock, but an error from Canberra saw the Tigers snatch the ball up.
Canberra went into the sheds at halftime with a 10-6 lead over the Wests Tigers.
The Raiders came out of the halftime break full of confidence, with Kaho scoring a second try for the day to give his side a promising lead.
Canberra kept the scoring going with hooker Kyle Patterson barging his way over the try line.
With the final ten minutes of the game, Kai O’Donnell added to the Raiders lead with a try of his own, with centre Matt Timoko also scoring a try five minutes later.
The Raiders finished the game with a final try to winger Semi Valemei to give Canberra a 32 point win.
