The Goulburn Workers Bulldogs have upset the Yass Magpies’ celebrations with a massive 62-10 win at Walker Park on Saturday.
The Bulldogs had nine different try scores on a day celebrating the 100th season of the Magpies. Dillon Rota scored a hat-trick and Mitch Cornish scored a double in the huge win.
Brendon Housden scored Yass’ first try in the second half, while Ben Davis scored a constellation try for the Magpies.
The Bulldogs move into second on the ladder, three points behind the Tuggeranong Bushrangers on 25.
Queanbeyan Blues 28 (Tries: J Wheeler 2, G Stewart, J Hitchins, F Fainifo; Goals: T Campese 4) d Queanbeyan Kangaroos 16 (Tries: R Robinson 2, N Ngere; Goals: L Ingram 2)
The Blues have moved themselves to third on the ladder after claiming victory over the Kangaroos in the battle of Queanbeyan.
Jake Wheeler scored a double in the win, while George Stewart, Joshua Hitchins, and Francis Fainifo also added a try to their names.
A double from Reece Robinson and a try from Nukurua Ngere weren’t able to help the Kangaroos in the 12-point defeat.
The win sees the Blues remain in third place while the Kangaroos remain in fourth but are three points adrift.

The Belconnen United Sharks claimed a big win as Woden moved down sixth on the ladder with their final aspirations taking another blow.
Tries to Iszac Bell, Tevita Aroha-Tuinauvai, Matthew Woolnough, and Keith Carberry helped secure the victory for the Sharks.
Daniel Prior, Lincoln Withers, and Cody Hodge all scored for the Rams giving them a close chance. However, Belconnen’s defence proved reliable as they were able to hold off against Woden late in the game.
West Belconnen Warriors 48 (Tries: R Roberts 3, B Litster, B Loughhead, E Peters, M Scott, M Shaw, T Vaughan; Goals: R Roberts 6) d Gungahlin Bulls 10 (Tries: B Robinson, D Aylott; Goals: D Hately)
The West Belconnen Warriors kept their finals chances alive with a dominating win over the Gungahlin Bulls.
Bobby Roberts scored a hat-trick for West Belconnen, while Bailey Litster, Bayley Loughhead, Ethan Peters, Matthew Scott, Mitchell Shaw, and Trent Vaughan also scored tries for the Warriors in the big win.
With the win, the Warriors move into fifth place on the ladder, three points behind the Queanbeyan Kangaroos in fourth.
