The Raiders suffered a heartbreaking 18-14 loss to the Sea Eagles yesterday afternoon in front of 20,265 fans at GIO Stadium.

The Raiders had the majority of possession throughout the contest with 52% of the ball.

The visitors had a better completion rate with 27/35 of their sets completed for a rate of 77%. The home side completed 31/41 of their sets for a completion rate of 76%.

Overall, Ricky Stuart’s side made more running metres with a total of 1647 from 174 runs. Des Hasler’s troops mustered up 1410 metres from 165 runs.

The green machine completed 19 offloads in attack with four line breaks while the Silvertails completed 10 offloads and made one line break.

The tackle count was evenly split between the two sides with Canberra making 288 compared to Manly’s 287.

The Sea Eagles made more missed tackles with 29 while the Raiders made 26.

There were a number of penalties conceded by both sides with the visitors conceding 15 while the home side conceded 11.

The error count was evenly split with nine each.

Individual statistics:

Josh Papalii was the main metre eater for the Raiders as he made 172 metres. The prop also made a total of 29 tackles in a 56-minute stint.

Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad made a total of 153 running metres with 61 post-contact. The fullback also completed two offloads.

Josh Hodgson and John Bateman led the way for the Raiders in the tackle count as both registered 36.

Jack Wighton made a total of 127 running metres while also completing two line breaks and registering eight tackle breaks.
