Michael Oldfield is a player who his teammates love to play alongside.
With only a few hours notice, Oldfield was summoned to make his first appearance for the season as a neck injury to Joey Leilua on the morning of the Raider's match against the Panthers in Wagga meant Oldfield would start the match.
Oldfield played a crucial part in the Raider's win over the Panthers at McDonald's Park as he scored a try in the green machine's 30-12 win.
Oldfield retained his spot in the centres the following week and bagged himself another try as the Raiders narrowly went down to the Sydney Roosters 30-24 at Suncorp Stadium in NRL Magic Round.
The former Tongan international continued to display the utmost professionalism throughout the remainder of the season as he was called upon numerous times by Coach Ricky Stuart as the green machine surged towards finals in 2019.
Unfortunately for Oldfield, his season was ended in cruel circumstances as he suffered a shoulder injury whilst scoring a try for the Raiders in their last home game of the regular season against the New Zealand Warriors.
In total, Oldfield made nine appearances for the Raiders in 2019, scoring five tries and contributing with three try assists.
