Junior Rep Round Three Wrap

The Canberra Raiders hosted the Illawarra Steelers in all three junior representative grades on the weekend.

The Raiders maintained their recent form in the competition as the side claimed a third consecutive win.

Xavier Savage, who has been training with the NRL side, opened the scoring in his first appearance, while Mitchell Prest and Connor Williams both claimed tries in the opening half.

The Raiders added a further four tries to the scoreline in the second half as Michael Asomua, Sione Moala, Clay Webb and Noah Saddler all got on the scoreboard.

The Raiders finished the round on top of the ladder.

Tarsha Gale Cup

The Canberra Raiders and Illawarra Steelers went head to head but ultimately it was the Steelers who claimed a 12 point win.

Teagan Berry scored a hattrick for the visitors as they scored six tries during the course of the match.

Madyson Tooth, Chloe Muggleton, Alanna Dummett and Krystal Blackwell all scored tries for the Raiders as they continued searching for their first win of the season.

The result sees the Raiders sit one place outside of the top six.

Harold Matthews Cup

The Canberra Raiders took on the Illawarra Steelers in the Harold Matthews Cup in round three of the competition.

The Steelers started brightly and quickly got on the board through doubles to James Walsh and Sean Trindall.

Leroy Murray scored the Raiders only try in the second half which he duly converted.
