Junior Rep Round Seven Wrap

The regular season of the Junior Representative competitions came to an end as the Raiders played their rain-affected round seven matches against the St. George Dragons.

SG Ball Cup

The Raiders SG Ball Cup side had a convincing 56-6 win over the Dragons on Saturday. The Raiders conceded the first try but bounced back to pile on 10 straight tries to close out their last game of the regular season.

Raiders centre Josh Billing scored a hattrick and front-rower Caleb Esera bagged a double boasting the Raider’s largest win of the season.

This win came at a great time ahead of this weekend’s elimination final where they will take on the Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs at HE Laybutt Field this Saturday.

Harold Matthews Cup

The Raiders Harold Matthews Cup side were defeated 26-0 over the weekend against the Dragons in the final round of the 2021 season.

The Raiders struggled to score points on the weekend however, they were missing some key players in what was a gallant defeat on Saturday afternoon.

The result sees the Harold Matthews cup side see their season come to an end.

Tarsha Gale Cup

The Raiders Tarsha Gale Cup side showed improvement in their last round game against the Dragons on Saturday, drawing 26-all.

The Raiders came back after trailing 20-4 at halftime to pile on five tries in the second half in what was a pleasing performance for the team.

The Raiders will, unfortunately, miss out on playing finals football this year however they showed signs of huge improvement for next season.
