The day has come – this afternoon’s Canberra Region Wheelchair Rugby League (CRWRL) Autumn Season 2021 Grand Final Day. With a skills season starting from 2:30pm, and the main game starting at 3pm, the White Bears and Red Bears will battle to win the first wheelchair rugby league competition in the Canberra region.
The Grand Final day will start with players participating in a skills session to warm-up and prepare for the tough game ahead. The matches leading into this final game have been close in competition between the two teams. The Grand Final game make up will consist of two 30 minute halves with a five minute half-time break.
All players will be travelling far and wide to play in this final game of the CRWRL Autumn Season, including four of our representative players travelling back from the NSW State of Origin camp to attend the game.
This will make for a huge day of physical wheelchair rugby league for these players; Toby Popple, Zac Carl, Jaimz Knight and Chris O’Brien. Within our CRWRL community, there are players travelling from Griffith, Tumut, Narrandera, Junee, Wagga Wagga, Murrumbatmen, Googong and all over the ACT, for this all most important game.
All spectators are welcomed to attend this great afternoon of wheelchair rugby league at Queanbeyan Indoor Sports Centre. For anyone who is interested in trying out and playing wheelchair rugby league, and even possibly playing in the upcoming Spring competition, it's encouraged to contact crrl@raiders.com.au for more information.
We wish both teams all the best for the Grand Final. Stay tuned on our website to keep up-to-date with upcoming wheelchair rugby league events – www.raiders.com.au/crrl.
