Wheelchair Rugby League School Visit

It was great to see approximately 30 students from Campbell High School participating in the new all-inclusive game of wheelchair rugby league.

Last Thursday morning, students from the Year 9 and 10 Talent Program had the opportunity to participate in some mini games and a traditional game of wheelchair rugby league.

Through being involved in mini games and learning the skill concepts of wheelchair rugby league, the students learnt how to maneuver the chairs as well as pass the football and tag the opposition. The students greatly improved as the day went on and were very skillful at playing the game by the end of the session.

It was wonderful to see students from various representative sporting backgrounds come together, participate and learn about a new all-inclusive sport  they have never played before.

If you wish to get your school involved in our great wheelchair rugby league program, please email crrl@raiders.com.au for more information. Get your school involved today!

Wheelchair rugby league can be played by everyone, of all ages, genders and abilities – for regular wheelchair users, and non-regular wheelchair users.
