The Canberra Raiders will play trial matches against the Sydney Roosters and Manly Sea Eagles in 2022, as part of two doubleheaders across two weekends.
The Raiders first trial match against the Roosters will be at 6.00pm on Friday February 18 at Leichhardt Oval as part of a doubleheader, with the Wests Tigers to play manly at 8.00pm on the same night.
The second trial match will take place a week later, with the Raiders taking on the Sea Eagles at 6.00pm at Central Coast Stadium, with the Tigers and Roosters to play at the same venue at 8.00pm.
The 2022 trial match program will see matches broadcast on Fox League and Kayo as part of a joint initiative with the NRL, with rugby league fans given the opportunity to attend the matches live or watch a high-quality broadcast from their living rooms.
The Raiders were originally slated to host a trial match in Moruya in 2022, but this has been postponed due to the NRL run trial match program. The Raiders will look to host a trial fixture on the South Coast in 2023 as part of their commitment to the region.
