Group 16 defeat George Tooke Shield in representative fixture

The Group 16 open men's representative side have defeated the locals, George Tooke Shield, 32-10 at Seiffert Oval on Saturday afternoon.

The exhibition match was the second representative fixture of the season for the George Tooke Shield, unfortunately going down by 22 points to Group 16 on Saturday, after drawing 22-all with Woodbridge Cup earlier this year.

The under 18's Group 16 side also took victory over the George Tooke Shield, taking a comfortable 28-12 win in the curtain raiser on Saturday afternoon.

However, the George Tooke Shield Ladies League Tag came away on-top in the tri-series between the GTS, the Canberra Raiders Cup and Group 16.

The GTS won both of their representative matches, defeating the Canberra Raiders Cup 28-6, and Group 16 24-8 respectively.
