The Raiders Jersey Flegg side have recorded their third straight win with a 16-4 victory over the St George Illawarra Dragons on Sunday.
The match was originally scheduled to be played in Wollongong but due to inclement weather the game was moved to Raiders Belconnen. The Raiders NSW Cup game against the Dragons was cancelled.
The Raiders Flegg side had plenty of late changes to the side too, but didn't skip a beat with a strong first half setting up the team for victory.
Manase Kaho was a late inclusion on the wing for the Raiders and was right in the action early, scoring a try in the fifth minute.
The Raiders extended their lead to 10-0 after a try to prop Eneseli Kamuta and successful conversion to Sione Vuki in the 15th minute.
Josh Billing moved from the centres to the second row before the match and picked up his seventh try of the season. Vuki converted to make it 16-0, capping off a solid first half performance.
The Dragons were able to get on the scoreboard in the 57th minute through second-rower Hayden Budd, bringing the score to 16-4.
But the Raiders were able to close out the game against the higher-ranked side.
The win sees the Raiders finish the round in sixth place on the ladder, just one point behind the Sharks in fourth position.
The Raiders take on the ladder-leading Sydney Roosters on Saturday at Raiders Belconnen.
