The Canberra Raiders have officially signed Pasami Saulo on a two-year deal until the end of the 2024 season.
Saulo has played 27 games for the Newcastle Knights since debuting in 2018, including 11 games in the 2022 NRL season.
The 24-year-old represented the New Zealand Māori All Stars in 2020 and was also part of the 2016 Australian Schoolboys and Under 18s New South Wales teams.
Saulo and his family visited the Raiders Centre in Braddon last week before they make their move to Canberra in the coming weeks.
Saulo said he is looking forward to the move and his time ahead at the Raiders.
“I’m very excited. Coming down to Canberra was a great experience,” Saulo said.
“It was good meeting everyone, they were very welcoming and it just made me more excited.
“There were no nerves, I just felt at home straight away.”
Saulo will commence pre-season training in early November and says he can’t wait to get started.
“It’s definitely a good opportunity and a fresh start. I’m ready for the grind,” he said. “I’m actually excited for it, I can’t wait.”
