Former Queanbeyan Kangaroo Jeremiah Simbiken has been selected to represent Papau New Guinea in the upcoming Rugby League World Cup.
Simbiken has been playing club football for the Redcliffe Dolphins in the Hostplus QLD Cup, featuring in their 2022 Grand Final defeat to Norths Devils.
Simbiken has scored an incredible 13 tries in 16 games for the Dolphins, inking a new three-year deal with the club ahead of their NRL birth next season.
Previously, Simbiken played 55 senior grade games in the Canberra Raiders Cup for the Queanbeyan Kangaroos.
Jermiah progressed through the ranks of junior rugby league for the West Belconnen Warriors, through to under 18's, under 19's, reserve and first grade for the Queanbeyan club.
He was also a member of the Canberra Raiders SG Ball Cup & Jersey Flegg Cup sides in 2018 and 2020 respectively.
We wish Jeremiah the very best of luck as they travel to the UK, where PNG face Tonga in their first match on October 16.
