Congratulations to Mathew Parsons of the Queanbeyan Blues for his selection at fullback in the 2022 Canberra Raiders Cup Team of the Year.
Parsons, labelled the "excitement machine," had an outstanding season, crossing for 23 tries in 19 games for the Blues.
The Blues had a fantastic year, making it all the way to the Grand Final to unfortunately go down 38-24 to West Belconnen.
Parsons had a huge impact on his side's success, being the link to their strong outside backs who ranked first in attack this season.
Parsons' support play is what separates him from his competitors, consistently backing up his teammates to assist and score tries.
Mat (aged 22) has a massive future in front of him, having showcased his ability in the Canberra Raiders Cup for the past four years at Queanbeyan.
