Fanning receives Australia Day honours

Congratulations to Canberra Raiders board member Katrina Fanning, who received Australia Day honours yesterday.

Fanning was awarded one of the highest honours, the Officer in the General Division of the Order of Australia (AO).

Fanning, also the Chair of the Australian Rugby League Indigenous Committee (ARLIC) and a former Jillaroo, was one of 47 Australians to be awarded an AO.

She was recognised for distinguished service to the Indigenous community through education, health initiatives and to sport.
