Junior Reps Preview: Round Six

The Toyota Forklifts Raiders will have a full day out this Sunday at Raiders Belconnen with the SG Ball and Tarsha Gale Cup sides in action before the NSW Cup and Jersey Flegg teams.

Tickets for the day are just $5 and can be bought at the gate, with plenty of exciting young talent on display in all four matches.

The Raiders Harold Matthews Cup team have a bye this weekend.

SG Ball

The Raiders SG Ball team will be playing the North Sydney Bears this Sunday afternoon at Raiders Belconnen.

The Raiders will be looking to continue their form after managing to stay undefeated this season so far and remain on top of the ladder.

The Raiders have made an extensive number of changes to the team ahead of this weekend’s match, with players recovering from injuries and new players getting an opportunity to play some footy.

Coach Peter Marrapodi says the first few weeks of the competition have been tough and this week is a good time for some new players to come into the team.

“These changes will be giving opportunities to players that have not had the chance yet,” Marrapodi said.

“…hopefully the new players will be able to inject some enthusiasm into the team.”

Meanwhile the North Sydney Bears will be looking to gain some form after only winning two games so far. They are in tenth place on the ladder.

The North Sydney Bears also have multiple changes to their side heading into the clash on Sunday.

Four grades are playing at Raiders Belconnen on Sunday, something that Marrapodi is excited about.

“We have got so much young talent at the moment, so it is another great opportunity to have a big crowd this weekend,” Marrapodi said.

The SG Ball Clash will kick off at Raiders Belconnen at 12:30 pm.

Tarsha Gale

The Raiders Tarsha Gale team will be playing before the SG Ball side, taking on the North Sydney Bears this Sunday.

The Raiders team goes into the game with two changes to the side with Maddison Morris and Ruby Morrisey coming into the side for prop Beyonce Marela and Samantha Nealon.

The Raiders are coming off a 26-12 loss to the Parramatta Eels last week.

The Bears have several changes to their side off the back of losing to the Indigenous Academy Roosters last week 36-8.

The Raiders are currently sixth on the ladder while the Bears are tenth so both teams will be looking to come out of round six with a win.

The Tarsha Gale match kicks off at 11 am on Sunday.
