The Raiders Jersey Flegg team went down to the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles on Saturday at Seiffert Oval in their round seven clash.
Raiders five-eighth Ethan Strange scored a double in the match, but it wasn't enough as Manly secured their second win of the season.
Manly jumped to a 14-0 lead in the first half after tries to Zane Dunford and Kylan Mafoa, with Blake Metcalfe converting both as well as kicking a penalty goal.
The Raiders were first on the scoreboard in the second half, with Strange going over for his first four-pointer of the day.
The Sea Eagles hit back with a try to Latu Fainu, with Metcalfe converting to give the visitors a 20-4 lead after 48 minutes of play.
The Raiders closed the gap to 20-10 after a second try to Strange and successful conversion to Regan Carr.
Two penalty goals to Manly brought to score to 24-10, before Raiders hooker Shaun Packer went over for a try in the 66th minute.
Carr added the two points to bring the home side to within eight points at 24-16.
But the Sea Eagles were able to hold on for the final three minutes of the game to claim the win.
The Raiders have the bye this coming weekend before taking on the Rabbitohs in Wagga Wagga in round nine.
