It was another exciting weekend of footy in the Blumers Lawyers Canberra Raiders Cup first grade competition, with some tight results and high scoring matches.
Tuggeranong Bushrangers 28 d Belconnen United Sharks 22
The Tuggeranong Bushrangers bounced back from last week's loss with a strong six point win over the Belconnen United Sharks at NSWRL HQ Bruce on Saturday.
In what was their third win of the season the Bushrangers were impressive in defeating the Sharks, who were undefeated going into the match.
Tuggeranong scored five tries in their win on the weekend, with Jack Heyman, Karlos Filiga, Jack Davison, Wezley Alexander-McCarthy and Joshua Eppelstun all scoring.
Hooker Liam Oakley was strong with the boot, kicking four from five conversions.
Darcy Leadbitter, Shaun Fensom, Noah Mills and Brandon Nangaiti were the try-scorers for the Sharks.
The win sees the Bushrangers finish the round in second place of the ladder, while the Sharks are in third place.
The Bushrangers take on the Bulls next round at Greenway Oval, while the Sharks travel to Goulburn to take on the Bulldogs.
Goulburn City Bulldogs 32 d West Belconnen Warriors 18
The Goulburn City Bulldogs claimed their second straight win with a victory over the West Belconnen Warriors at Raiders Belconnen on Saturday afternoon.
It was a wonderful performance by the Bulldogs against the reigning premiers, who had won their other two matches of the season so far.
Goulburn forward Ron Leapai scored a double in the game and remains the competition's top try scorer.
Junior Vatikani, Cody McCallum and Blake Jeffery were the other try scorers for Goulburn, while Kylan Edwards, Daniel Garner and Tyler Peters all scored for the Warriors.
Goulburn finish the round in fifth spot on the ladder with West Belconnen in fourth place.
Goulburn are back at home next round against the Sharks, while the Warriors take on the Queanbeyan Roos.
Queanbeyan Kangaroos 24 d Yass Magpies 16
The Queanbeyan Roos remain the only undefeated team in the competition after securing a 24-16 win over the Yass Magpies at Seears Workwear Oval on Saturday.
It's been a wonderful start to the season for the Roos, who continue to put in good performances against every side they have come up against so far.
The Roos scored four tries to the Magpies three in their win.
Queanbeyan remain on top of the ladder and take on West Belconnen next round, while Yass sit in seventh and have the bye next weekend.
Woden Valley Rams 12 d Gungahlin Bulls 10
The Woden Valley Rams are back in the winners circle after a tight two point win over the Gungahlin Bulls at Gungahlin Enclosed Oval on Saturday.
Both teams scored two tries a-piece with Sean Maloney and Trai Henderson scoring for the Rams and Joshua Pokoney and Bobby Roberts scoring for the Bulls.
In the end it was the goal kicking of Rams centre Gideon Afemui that won the game for Woden.
Woden finish the weekend in sixth position on the ladder, while the Bulls remain in last place.
