Tuggeranong Bushrangers vs Gungahlin Bulls, Greenway Oval, 10:30am Saturday 13th May
After a forfeit in their first game last weekend, the Tuggeranong Bushrangers will host their first home game of the season at Greenway Oval on Saturday.
Taking on the Gungahlin Bulls, the Bushrangers will look to start their season off right against a strong Bulls outfit.
The Gungahlin Bulls were victorious against the Woden Valley Rams in their first game, winning 46-6.
After playing their first KFS game in the club’s history, the Bulls inaugural season has gotten off to the perfect start as they aim to make it two from two.
Both teams will have something to prove as the Bushrangers bowed out in the first round of the finals last year.
Queanbeyan Kangaroos vs West Belconnen Warriors, Seears Workwear Oval, 11:50am Saturday 13th May
The Queanbeyan Kangaroos will host their round two clash against the West Belconnen Warriors on Saturday morning, coming off a loss to the Yass Magpies.
With the Warriors game abandoned early in round one, their narrow two point loss to the Bulldogs will give them a lot of belief as they take on the Kangaroos who didn’t manage to score a point last week.
The Kangaroos went down to last year’s premiers 86-nil, with the team hoping to reaffirm themselves amongst the competition.
It’s anybody’s game between the two sides at they fight it out in Queanbeyan on Saturday.
Goulburn City Bulldogs vs Harden Worhawks, Workers Arena, 11:50am Saturday 13th May
Coming off a win against the Warriors, the Bulldogs will endeavor to relinquish their form of last year, building on their 46-6 win last weekend.
The Bulldogs will take on the Worhawks who didn’t play last weekend thanks to a forfeit against the Bushrangers.
Goulburn, who reached the preliminary final in 2022, will look to go one step further this year and will not let Harden stand in their way.
Winning only one game last year, they relished playing in the second tier KFS finals series, defeating South Coast 10-4 in the Grand Final.
Woden Valley Rams vs Queanbeyan Blues, Philip Oval, 12pm Saturday 13th May
Having suffered a tough loss to the Bulls in round one, the Woden Valley Rams will take on the Queanbeyan Blues who were victorious in their first match.
The Blues opened their 2023 campaign in style, taking down the UC Stars in a comfortable 48-0 win.
The Rams and Blues both went the distance in their finals campaigns last year, claiming runners up and exiting in the minor semi-final respectively.
The match will be taking place at Philip Oval, where they will go head-to-head fighting desperately for a win.
