A top of the table clash headlines round six of the Blumers Lawyers Canberra Raiders Cup, as we enter the middle part of the competition.

Belconnen United Sharks v Queanbeyan Kangaroos, 3pm, Saturday 20 May at NSWRL HQ, Bruce

After such a tight first month of footy in the Canberra Raiders Cup, the Belconnen United Sharks will host the Queanbeyan Roos in a top of the table clash on Saturday afternoon.

In a bid to separate themselves from the pack, both teams will relish this opportunity to take another important win this early in the season.

The Kangaroos are coming off a massive 44-6 victory over the reigning premiers, West Belconnen, carrying plenty of momentum into this clash.

Meanwhile, the Sharks will head into this one likely battered and bruised after their 28-24 grinding win over the Bulldogs last Saturday.

With potentially first place on the line, this match sets up to be one of the biggest of the season.

Gungahlin Bulls v Queanbeyan Blues, 3pm, Saturday 20 May at Gungahlin Enclosed Oval

The Gungahlin Bulls will enter round six with confidence after breaking their maiden win on the season, defeating the Tuggeranong Bushrangers 42-16.

In what was a must-win for the Bulls, their attack finally clicked, piling on eight tries on one of the competition heavyweights.

Meanwhile the Blues have had a challenging start to the year, after falling to Woden in their second straight loss.

In what could be a detrimental game for both sides, everything will be on the line this weekend when the Bulls and Blues chase their second win.

Yass Magpies v Tuggeranong Bushrangers, 3pm, Saturday 20 May at Walker Park

The Magpies will feel refreshed after a bye round where they will look to return to the winner's circle at Walker Park on Saturday.

But it's the Bushrangers who stand in their way who will be disappointed after conceding a big loss to Gungahlin on their home turf last weekend.

It comes after the Bushies knocked off the Sharks only a week prior which highlights their up and down form to start the year.

Yass headed into the bye after a tight 8-point defeat to the Roos in round four, being the closest any team has got to the undefeated Queanbeyan side.

Given the tightness of the competition ladder, either team will be itching to get up for this one, wanting to stay in touch with the top four.

West Belconnen Warriors v Woden Valley Rams, 3pm, Sunday 21 May at Raiders Belconnen.

It's a rematch of last year's major semi-final, but this time it's the Rams who take all the form into Sunday's match of the round at Raiders Belconnen.

The Warriors will host the Rams in Sunday afternoon footy where both sides will be looking to get a leg-up early on in the season.

The reigning premiers West Belconnen enter this game with a two-match losing streak, making this game all that more important to break through.

While the Rams carry the opposite with a two-match win streak, after knocking off Gungahlin and the Blues in successive weeks.

With either side's attack yet to really click, all eyes will be on the halves as they battle it out for 80-minutes this Sunday.
