NSW Cup & Jersey Flegg Round 13 Preview

The Raiders NSW Cup and Jersey Flegg teams are both in action at Accor Stadium on Saturday as part of a triple header along with the Raiders NRL team.

NSW Cup

The Raiders NSW Cup team will be looking to bounce back this weekend when they take on the South Sydney Rabbitohs in round 13 action.

The Raiders side have lost their last two games, including a tight 19-12 loss to the Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles last weekend at home.

It has been a see-sawing season for the Raiders, who have recorded six wins, four losses and one draw so far.

They currently sit in fifth spot on the ladder, just two points behind the second placed Jets, so a win this weekend could lift the side further up the ladder.

A number of changes have been made to the side ahead of the Rabbitohs clash.

James Schiller returns to the wing after Nick Cotric was named on the interchange bench for the NRL team.

Danny Levi has been named as hooker in what will be his first NSW Cup game of the year.

Hohepa Puru shifts to lock, with Jed Stuart starting in the second row.

The Rabbitohs are coming off a tough 26-16 loss to the Eels last week, and currently sit in 11th spot on the ladder.

The two sides faced off in round nine earlier this season, with the Raiders winning 22-16 on that occasion.

Kick off for the Raiders v Rabbitohs clash is at 5:10pm on Saturday 27 May at Accor Stadium in Sydney.

Jersey Flegg

The Raiders Jersey Flegg team will be seeking their third win of the season when they take on the South Sydney Rabbitohs on Saturday afternoon at Accor Stadium.

The Raiders are coming off a tough 26-10 loss to the Bulldogs last weekend so will be keen to bounce back and snap a two game losing streak this Saturday.

Coach Ash Barnes as made many changes to the side ahead of the round 13 match.

Ethan Strange and Jalen Afamasaga are the new halves pairing, with Livai Kaloutolu and Peyton Jenkins named at wing and centre respectively.

Mitchell Spencer replaces JJ Clarkson at lock, with Mitchell Prest on the interchange bench.

Meanwhile the Rabbitohs are coming off an impressive 32-20 win over the Parramatta Eels last weekend, and currently sit in fifth spot on the ladder.

The Raiders and Rabbitohs played each other back in round nine of the season, with the Raiders winning on that occasion 22-4.
