The Blumers Lawyers Katrina Fanning Shield ladder begins to take shape, with sides looking to etch their name in the top end of the table this weekend.
Gungahlin Bulls v Goulburn City Bulldogs, 1pm, Saturday 3 June at Gungahlin Enclosed Oval
The top of the table leaders, Gungahlin Bulls, will be looking to continue their undefeated start when they come up against rivals in the Bulldogs.
Both teams have had strong campaigns so far and will be coming up against each other for the first time ever.
Both sides will be looking to put in some consistent minutes on the field after both missing out on playing last week due to forfeits.
Yass Magpies v Harden Worhawks, 11:45am Saturday at North Kaleen Oval
The Worhawks will take on the Magpies on Saturday morning in a bid to continue their strong form to start the season.
The Magpies are coming off the back of a draw against the Warriors while Harden won in last weekend’s match against the Rams 32-20.
Yass are currently in second place, winning three out of four games and only having drawn once.
While the Worhawks sit in fourth place after having to forfeit their first game.
This mid-season battle will be one that can’t be missed as two top-of-the-table competitors go head to head.
Queanbeyan Kangaroos v Tuggeranong Bushrangers, 11:50am, Saturday 3 June at Seears Workwear Oval
The Queanbeyan Roos have had a challenging start to the season not being able to make their marks just yet.
They will be coming off a week off and will be refreshed, looking to turn their season around.
Meanwhile, the Bushrangers won in last week’s clash against the UC Stars defeating them 16-0 in a thrilling win.
Tuggeranong has looked lethal in attack and will be looking to capitalise on that again this weekend and make their way up the ladder for finals time.
West Belconnen Warriors v Queanbeyan Blues, 12pm, Saturday 3 June at Raiders Belconnen
This will be a tough battle between fifth and sixth place come Saturday.
The Blues will be coming into the game with fresh legs after having a week off last weekend.
While the Warriors drew in a tough battle against the Magpies.
This game will be a tight one as both teams look to edge closer to the top of the table in time for the finals.
UC Stars v Woden Valley Rams, 12:30pm, Sunday 4 June at Boomanulla Oval
The Stars and Rams will be hunting for their first win of the season after both falling short in recent weeks.
UC went down to the Bushrangers 16-nil last week but looked hopeful during the game and will be striving to bounce back in attack.
While the Rams went down in a tight loss to Harden, going down 32-20.
The Rams looked to be in front for the majority of the game but could not complete in the final minutes.
This will be a great game to watch as both sides aim to get wins under their belt.
