The Raiders win in a tight affair after a late comeback from the Tigers

The Toyota Forklift Raiders have won in a tight match after the Tigers came back in the final minutes, defeating them 20-19.

Jamal Fogarty was the Raiders go-to man scoring two tries and having a 100% goal-kicking rate for the game.

The Raiders were in first on the scoreboard after a hard defensive effort on their own line. Jamal Fogarty went in for the try in the seventh minute with a skillful chip and chase to go over the line.

Fogarty converted his own try to bring the score to 6-0.

Jordan Rapana was the next one to get a try for his 100th career try, scoring off the back of a great kick.

Jamal Fogarty converted the try and the score stood at 12-0.

The Raiders solid defensive efforts were able to hold the Tigers to nil for the first half having scores left at 12-0 on the half-time hooter.

The second half started much like the first with back and forth from try line to try line, with both teams putting their all on the field.

But the Raiders were the first ones to make a statement, with Jamal Fogarty going in for his second try after a beautiful kick rebound off the posts sat up perfectly for the halfback to score in the 48th minute.

Kicking the goal again for his try, Fogarty brought the score 18-0.

The Raiders were left with one man down in the 67th minute as Tom Starling was sin-binned.

The Tigers were quick to pounce on the depleted defensive side scoring just a minute later through Jahream Bula.

The conversion was kicked by Brandon Wakeham who had the scores left at 18-6.

But the Tigers were not done there scoring just two minutes later through former Raider John Batman. Along with the goal the score was 18-12.

The Tigers were in again as the Raiders were still lacking a man in the defensive line, with Brandon Wakeham going in next to the post bringing the score to 18-18.

In the dying minutes, Luke Brooks went for the field goal and succeeded with just four minutes on the clock which had the score at 19-18 to the Tigers.

Jamal Fogarty kicked a penalty goal in the final three minutes of the game after being taken out at the legs which put the score with the Raiders in front by one.

But the Raiders were able to secure the win after a failed field goal attempt from Luke Brooks.

The final score was 20-19.
