Katrina Fanning Shield: Round 6 Preview

A top-of-the-ladder clash between the Bulldogs and the Magpies headlines round six, as teams look to solidify their position in the Blumers Lawyers Katrina Fanning Shield.

Tuggeranong Bushrangers v Woden Valley Rams, 10:30 am, Saturday 17 June at Phillip Oval

The Bushrangers will look to continue their winning ways this weekend as they host the Rams.

The Bushrangers currently sit in fifth, meaning a win this weekend could propel them into the top four.

Tuggeranong had a strong win against the Kangaroos last round, defeating them 62-0.

The Rams are coming off their first win of the season and will look to keep their current form going.

UC Stars v West Belconnen Warriors, 10:30 am, Saturday 17 June at NSWRL HQ Bruce

The Warriors will take on the Stars this round as they look to continue their hot start to the season.

The Warriors have been strong defensively in their debut season, ranked the third best defensive side in the competition.

The Warriors took down the Blues last weekend 48-10 for their third win of the season.

While the Stars went down to the Rams, going down 42-10 at Boomanulla Oval.

This will be a tough challenge for the Stars as they are still hunting for their first win of the season.

Goulburn City Bulldogs v Yass Magpies, 10:40 am, Saturday 17 June at Workers Arena

This will be a tough clash between second and fourth come Saturday.

The Magpies will be coming into this matchup fresh after having the week off last weekend.

The Magpies have been impressive this season with the only blemish on their record, being a round four draw to West Belconnen.

The Bulldogs will be looking to bounce back following a tough defeat to the first-placed Bulls last week.

Harden Worhawks v Gungahlin Bulls, 11:30 am, Saturday 17 June at McLean Oval

The Bulls will look to keep their undefeated season going as they travel to take on the Worhawks.

The Bulls are coming off a statement win last weekend against the Bulldogs, taking them down 74-0 at home.

Harden will be looking to return to the top four after dropping to sixth last week. 

The Worhawks have looked strong in attack and will try to capitalise on this in their matchup this weekend.

Queanbeyan Blues v Queanbeyan Kangaroos, 1:30 pm, Saturday 17 June at Seiffert Oval

This backyard rivalry will be a tough battle as both Queanbeyan sides look to climb the ladder.

Both teams are coming off hard-fought matches last round and will be looking to bounce back from challenging starts to the season.

The Kangaroos are looking for their first win of their inaugural season with this match-up being a good opportunity to get their season going.
