Katrina Fanning Shield: Round 7 Wrap

The Blumers Lawyers Katrina Fanning Shield round seven action comes to a close, as the Bulls and Magpies continue to gap the rest of the competition.

Yass Magpies 60 d Woden Valley Rams 2

The Magpies made a statement on Saturday morning after dominating Woden in a rematch of last year's KFS Grand Final.

The damage was done in the first half after Yass piled 38 consecutive points on Woden.

Yass centre Roxy Horne was one of the many standouts, crossing for four tries on the right-edge for the Magpies.

Woden converted a consolation penalty goal right on fulltime to round out the final score 60-2 at Phillip Oval.

Yass will now host the Queanbeyan Blues this Sunday while the Rams will travel to take on the Queanbeyan Roos.

Gungahlin Bulls 80 d UC Stars 4

The Gungahlin Bulls continue to showcase their blistering attack in their inaugural season, crossing for an incredible 17 tries at Kaleen on Saturday.

Kayla Fleming and Tijana Zdravevska led the way for Gungahlin, both crossing for hattricks in their big win.

This places Gungahlin in first on the ladder with a staggering 270 points differential, entering round eight of the competition.

The Bulls will shift their focus to the third-placed Warriors while UC will chase their first win against Harden.

Goulburn City Bulldogs 52 d Queanbeyan Kangaroos 0

The Bulldogs have bounced back to defeat the Kangaroos 52-0 at Seears Workwear Oval.

Goulburn have snapped a two-match losing streak, piling on 10 consecutive tries to defeat Queanbeyan.

Bulldogs' backrowers Madyson Tooth and Laura Fletcher both crossed for a pair of tries, now pushing Goulburn back into the top four.

They will now turn their attention to the Bushrangers while Queanbeyan will host Woden this Sunday.

Queanbeyan Blues 10 drew Tuggeranong Bushrangers 10

Nothing could split the Blues and Bushrangers after 70 minutes, ultimately drawing 10-all at Seiffert Oval on Saturday afternoon.

The Blues entered half-time with a commanding 10-nil lead with tries to Payge-Louise Condon and Alexia Papanicolaou.

The Bushies then sparked a quick comeback, scoring two tries in five minutes. But nothing could split the 20-minute arm wrestle to finish the game 10 points apiece.

Both sides entered this contest on equal points in 5th and 6th and it will now remain that way with only two more weeks until the competition is split into two.

West Belconnen Warriors 34 d Harden Worhawks 6

West Belconnen continue their strong from in their debut KFS season, defeating the Worhawks at McLean Oval on Saturday.

Warriors' centre Grace Tai bagged a hattrick in the sides' strong victory, moving into third on the tryscorer leaderboard with eight tries.

Despite the loss, Harden can be pleased with their performances over the last month, staying competitive in particular with Gungahlin and the Warriors over the past fortnight.

The Warriors will now take on the undefeated Bulls and while Harden travel to take on the UC Stars.
