A partnership that extends beyond the product, the longevity of ISC and Canberra Raiders relationship is an affirmation of the collaborative nature and strength of the partnership.
The new extension will see ISC Sport continue as the official apparel partner of the Canberra Raiders until 2028. Taking the partnership into its 25th year and making it one of the longest-running apparel partnerships in Australian sports.
As both the Raiders and ISC brands have continued to evolve and grow together, the partnership has produced some of the most memorable jerseys of the past two decades.
In 2003, the first year of the partnership ISC took the Raiders’ jersey back to its traditional roots with the return of ‘Lime Green’ but with a fresh twist. In the same year, one of the first Indigenous Jerseys in the NRL, a Department of Indigenous Affairs jersey was developed.
In 2014, an innovative partnership between ISC Sport and Marvel resulted in the #GoForGreenHulk Raiders jersey.
Over the years ISC has assisted the Raiders with the development of many charitable jerseys, including Ricky Stuart Foundation, Tour de Cure, Black Dog and Brain Injury Foundation to name a few.
More recently, the ‘Ken Behrens’ jersey from 2021 in collaboration with Canberra Milk received so much fan love it was auctioned to raise funds for Headspace Canberra and Tuggeranong in support of mental health. Last season, the 40th anniversary of the club had members and fans pick the 2021 Raiders Heritage jersey as their favourite in its 40-year history.
Canberra Raiders Chief Operating Officer Jason Mathie said the Raiders are thrilled for this partnership to continue.
“The Raiders are incredibly proud to be extending our partnership with ISC for the next 5 years, making it the current longest running apparel partnership in the NRL.
We hold ISC’s expertise, professionalism, innovation, and drive for sustainability in high regard.
ISC has contributed significantly to Raiders and Canberra Region Rugby League Programs, fitting out players and Club Officials from Grass Root Clubs, through Pathways Programs and Elite teams.
We’ve got a great range of Raiders on-field and off-field gear available again this season, including for the first time a range for our new NRLW team, and preparations are well underway for 2024.”
2024 will be an exciting new stage in the evolution of the Raiders brand. ISC and Raiders teams worked collaboratively to bring the fresh new visuals to life across the new season range.
ISC Sport CEO Jason Schulman said that the partnership now in its 20th year, is based on shared values and mutual trust.
“ISC are thrilled to be extending our partnership with the Canberra Raiders. The club has four decades of rich history and is one of the most passionately supported, and well-run sporting teams in Australia. ISC are proud to have been a trusted partner of the Raiders for 2 of those decades.”
“Through this extension ISC will continue its commitment to the Raiders players, staff, and supporters to provide access to the highest quality playing and merchandise range in the market.”
Beyond the Raiders elite level apparel, the benefits of this partnership will extend to the grassroots level of the sport in the Canberra region. ISC will continue to support growing grassroots sport through highly customisable, superior quality, and tailored garments.
Speaking about the partnership, Canberra Raiders Co-Captain Jarrod Croker said, “As a player it’s great to know that the Club has partnered with an organisation like ISC that’s committed to continual improvement when it comes to high-performance clothing and that what we wear on-field is also available to the fans.”
