Round nine commences the final round of the KFS regular season before the competition splits in half, headlining a top of the table clash between Yass and Gungahlin.

Gungahlin Bulls vs Yass Magpies 1:00 pm, Saturday 8th July Gungahlin Enclosed Oval

The battle of the top two teams will take place this weekend as Bulls and Magpies both go into this round undefeated.

The long-awaited match will be a decider as to who goes top of the table with the two teams desperate to come away with the win.

“We did have a lot of errors in that game [last weekend], so back to the drawing board for us and try and fix that this weekend for Yass which is going to be another rough, physical game,” said Bulls player Lily Croker.

Both teams have been on top of their game this year in both attack and defence, completely dominating the rest of the competition.

Top try scorers of the KFS, Caitlin Turnbull and Lucy Prosser, will be ready to explode and inspire their respective teams in the tough encounter on Saturday.

Goulburn City Bulldogs vs Woden Valley Rams 10:40 am, Saturday 8th July at Workers Arena

The Bulldogs will look to finish the regular season off strong as they take on the Rams who are chasing last year’s form which saw them feature in the 2022 Grand Final.

As the competition splits into the top four and bottom five teams after round nine, the Bulldogs will be part of the top half split.

The fourth placed team will look to make it six wins this season to put them in good stead heading into the second half of the season.

A 32-18 point win over Bushies last weekend puts them in a good position against the Rams who have three wins across the year.

A win for the Rams could give them a boost of confidence against teams like Blues and Bushrangers as the second half of the season awaits.

Queanbeyan Blues vs Harden Worhawks 12:00 pm, Saturday 8th July at NSWRL HQ Bruce

The Blues and Worhawks will meet at NSWRL HQ Bruce this Saturday afternoon in a bid to gap the bottom half of the ladder as they both enter this contest with three wins each on the season.

A forfeit win for the Worhawks last round gives them a chance to rejuvenate and prepare for the match against the Blues who suffered a 34-point loss to Yass Magpies last weekend.

Worhawks, Blues and Bushrangers are all tied on seven competition points, so a win for the respective team will take them to outright fifth on the ladder.
