NSW Cup & Flegg Round 19 Preview

The Raiders NSW Cup and Jersey Flegg teams will travel up to Wollongong this weekend to take on St George Illawarra Dragons in round 19 action.

NSW Cup

The Raiders will play on Friday night as a curtain raiser for the NRL game, kicking off at 5:45pm at WIN Stadium in Wollongong.

The Raiders are coming off the back of a four-point win over the Penrith Panthers last weekend and will be looking to continue their success this Friday.

There have been several changes to the Raiders side this weekend with Jaxon Lavender, Jayden Clarkson, Juwan Compain, Loghan Lewis, Luke Webley, Mitch Henderson, Nick Cotric, Prinston Esera, and Tane Kiriona all coming into the side due to injuries and NRL call ups.

The Raiders side is currently sitting in fifth position with their opponents in the Dragons not far behind in ninth place.

The Dragons are coming into the match after a big win last weekend beating the Newtown Jets 46-12.

Like the Raiders, the Dragons have had several changes to their side with Benjamin Johnson, Hamish Stewart, Jacob Webster, Lyhkan King-Togia, Tautau Moga and, Treigh Stewart all into the side ahead of the match.

The last time these two teams met was in round seven of this year when the Raiders defeated the Dragons 20-18 at GIO Stadium Canberra.

Both teams will be looking to cement their position further up the ladder as it nears closer to finals.
