With only six rounds remaining in the Blumers Lawyers Canberra Raiders Cup, the race for the top four begins as we prepare for finals football.

Tuggeranong Bushrangers v Belconnen United Sharks, Saturday 15 July, 3pm at Greenway Oval

The Bushies will play host to the Sharks in an epic top four battle as either side look to make a step towards a finals birth.

Tuggeranong enter this contest behind some strong recent form, defeating Goulburn 46-6 at home followed by a tight 22-all draw to West Belconnen last Sunday.

The Bushies will be forced to turn around after six days against a ripe and refreshed Belconnen United outfit, who are chasing outright second on the ladder.

The Sharks will get a huge opportunity on the road to skip away from the pack as this top four battle continues.

Woden Valley Rams v Gungahlin Bulls, Saturday 15 June, 3pm at Phillip Oval

The Rams will return home to take on an in-form Gungahlin side in one of their most important games of the year.

Woden come into this clash after a disappointing 24-6 loss to Goulburn last weekend and are still without captain, Jesse Martin, as well as Josh Fattore and Daine Spencer.

Considering the competition ladder ahead of round 13 action, either a win or loss for the Rams could have major implications as we approach finals football.

For Gungahlin, they will have nothing to lose and all to play for as they aim to upset Woden on their home deck on Saturday afternoon.

Yass Magpies v Queanbeyan Kangaroos, Saturday 15 July, 3pm at Walker Park

It will be first place taking on last out at Walker Park this Saturday, where the Yass Magpies will host the Queanbeyan Kangaroos.

Yass will return home after a disappointing 28-12 loss to Gungahlin last weekend, right after their biggest win of the year against Queanbeyan Blues only a fortnight ago.

The Roos will be fresh after their bye round, aiming for an incredible 11 in a row this weekend.

Although it was Yass who troubled them in the early rounds of the season, going down by a narrow margin of eight points back in round four.

In front of a typical packed-out Walker Park, this match-up serves to be an interesting one.

Goulburn City Bulldogs v West Belconnen Warriors, Saturday 15 July, 3pm at Workers Arena

The Bulldogs will remain at their beloved Workers Arena for the second straight week, this time facing the reigning premiers' West Belconnen.

It was Goulburn who got the better of Westies back in round four, knocking them over 30-18, courtesy of a man of the match performance by their number nine, Cody McCallum.

Goulburn returned to their best on Saturday, scoring 24 points to defeat Woden and break a two-match losing streak.

Meanwhile, West Belconnen will aim to turn the tide on the competition ladder, which sees them sit fifth after their brutal 22-all draw on Saturday.
