NSW Cup & Jersey Flegg Round 22 Preview

The Raiders NSW Cup and Jersey Flegg teams are in action at Raiders Belconnen this Sunday afternoon against the Newcastle Knights.

Jersey Flegg kick off the day at 1:15pm, with the Cup match following at 3pm. Raiders Members receive free entry, while it is $5 for those that aren't Raiders members.

NSW Cup

A big game this weekend for the Raiders NSW Cup team as they look to secure their place in the top five for finals.

The Raiders currently sit in eighth spot on 23 points, one point behind the fifth placed Panthers.

Last Friday saw the Raiders defeated by the Warriors 21-20 at Go Media Stadium in Auckland, with Warriors halfback Ronald Volkman slotting a field goal in the last eight second of the game to secure the win.

There have been a few changes to the side ahead of this weekend's clash. James Schiller comes into the side on the wing, replacing Nick Cotric.

Joshua James has been named at halfback, with Jake Clydsdale coming onto the bench.

Meanwhile the Knights are coming off the back of a tough 34-16 loss to the Rabbitohs and are currently sitting in 12th place on the ladder.

Kick off for the round 22 clash is 3pm Sunday 30 July at Raiders Belconnen.

Jersey Flegg Cup

The Raiders Jersey Flegg team are also still in the hunt for finals when they take on the Newcastle Knights on Sunday at Raiders Belconnen.

Sitting in 11th place on the ladder on 20 points, the Raiders are four points outside the top five and will need to win all their remaining games to give themselves a chance to play finals footy.

The Raiders are coming off a bye last weekend so will be fresh and ready to go against the Knights.

A couple of changes to the side with Shaun Packer named at starting hooker and Mitchell Prest and Owen Pattie coming onto the interchange bench.

The Knights notched up a 22-14 win over the Rabbitohs last weekend at Redfern Oval, with fullback Fletcher Sharpe scoring a double.
