NSW Cup & Jersey Flegg Round 25 Preview

The NSW Cup and Jersey Flegg Raiders sides will take on the Bulldogs this weekend at Raiders Belconnen as a double-header on Saturday.

There are only two rounds left of the regular season so the heat is well and truly pumped up as the NSW Cup side is still within a finals opportunity.

Entry to the games at Raiders Belconnen are free for Raiders members and $5 for everyone else.

The Raiders NSW Cup team will take on the Bulldogs at 3pm this Saturday 19th August at Raiders Belconnen.

The Raiders will be going into the game with a boost of confidence after defeating the Newtown Jets last weekend in a 36-12 win.

Last round’s win marked the side’s third straight victory, and they will be hoping to make it four in a row for a roll into finals.

Xavier Savage is a big inclusion for the Raiders this week after spending the last five weeks on the sideline with a hamstring injury.

The Raiders side has had many changes including the inclusion of Ethan Strange who made his NRL debut last weekend against the Storm.

Pasami Saulo and Adrian Trevilyan also return to the side and have been playing outstanding in the NRL team.

The Raiders will be without Trey Mooney and Tom Starling who have been named in the NRL side this weekend.

The Raiders are currently sitting in fifth position on equal points to this week’s opposition in the Bulldogs, who are sitting in fourth place.

The Bulldogs have only made one change ahead of Saturday with fullback Hayze Perham coming in for Jonah Glover.

The Bulldogs side went down to the Knights in a high scoring 42-28 loss last weekend.

With only two games left of regular season games, both teams will be looking to cement themselves in the finals.

There are currently eight teams all within range to make finals with only five making it through.

Jersey Flegg

The Jersey Flegg Raiders side will take on the Bulldogs at Raiders Belconnen for a 1:15pm kick-off.

The Raiders side are coming off the back of a loss to the Sharks last weekend, going down 34-16.

The Raiders have made one change to their side ahead of the round 25 clash with Peyton Jenkins coming in for Keahn Skipps.

Unfortunately, the Raiders side will now miss out on finals footy as they sit in ninth place four points out of the top five.

Meanwhile, their opponents this week in the Bulldogs sit in second place on the ladder.

The Bulldogs have had many changes to their side after their 30-16 win over the Knights.

The sides will be prepared to give it their all on Saturday.
