NSW Cup

Needing a win to reach finals, the Raiders NSW Cup team delivered with a 36-14 victory over the first placed Bears at North Sydney Oval on Sunday afternoon.

The Raiders will now play the fifth placed Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles in week one of finals.

It was a see-sawing affair against the Bears, with the lead changing three times throughout the 80 minutes.

The Bears started well by jumping out to a 12-0 lead, before two converted tries to the Raiders and a penalty goal gave the visitors a narrow 14-12 lead at half-time.

The Bears levelled the scores in the 45th minute with a penalty goal. But from there it was all the Raiders, with tries to Clay Webb, Danny Levi and Chevy Stewart sealing the win.

The Raiders are set to play the Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles this Saturday at North Sydney Oval, kicking off at 3pm.
