The Raiders will return to their spiritual home at Seiffert Oval in Queanbeyan, as part of the NRL’s 2024 Pre-Season Challenge.
The 2024 Pre-Season Challenge runs over two weeks in February, with the Raiders facing the North Queensland Cowboys in Queanbeyan on Sunday February 25.
The Green Machine will also be in action a week earlier at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium, when they take on the Parramatta Eels on Saturday February 17.

The match against the Cowboys will be the first match played by the Raiders NRL squad at Seiffert Oval since they faced the Roosters in a trial match in 2021.
Ticket information for Raiders’ members and fans will be communicated once available.
Seiffert Oval has a proud place in Raiders history, as it served as the club’s inaugural home ground in 1982 right through until the end of the 1989 season before the team relocated their home matches to Bruce Stadium (now known as GIO Stadium Canberra).
Mayor of Queanbeyan–Palerang Regional Council Kenrick Winchester said locals would embrace the match and looked forward to the Raiders coming back to their roots in Queanbeyan.
“As a massive Raiders fan and a proud Queanbeyan local, I can’t wait to welcome the Raiders back to their spiritual home at Seiffert Oval,” Mr Winchester said. “I’ll be there and I’m looking forward to seeing a big crowd supporting the Mighty Green Machine.”
Raiders CEO Don Furner said the return to Seiffert Oval would give Raiders members and fans from the region an early opportunity to see the team in 2024 and would provide the new crop of Raiders NRL players with a trip down memory lane.
“The Raiders have a long and proud association with Queanbeyan, for our young crop of NRL players to play on the hallowed turf at Seiffert Oval (like the Club’s pioneer players) is going to be a great experience,” Furner said. “I’m sure Raiders members and fans will be excited to see the team playing a match locally ahead of the start of the regular season, and as our final game before the season proper I’m sure Ricky will select his strongest available side for the match.”
