The Raiders Jersey Flegg team have made it two wins from two after a comprehensive 36-0 win over the Wests Tigers at GIO Stadium Canberra on Saturday.
The Raiders flew out of the gates with Jesse Limon finishing a try in the corner, courtesy of a beautiful cut-out pass from Jalen Afamasaga. Mitch Henderson nailed the sideline conversion to lead 6-0.
Afamasaga continued his involvement, this time placing a pin-point grubber kick for a rampaging Noah Martin, who beat two covering defenders to score. Henderson converted to extend the Raiders lead to 12-0 after 15 minutes.
The contest entered an arm wrestle where both sides showed some strong defence, highlighted by Raiders' dummy-half Owen Pattie who forced a number of errors to relieve pressure.
The Tigers continued to attack the Raiders line but their goal-line defence held-up to hold the score to 12-0 at halftime.
The Raiders were the first to strike after the break. Owen Pattie caught the defence napping and crashed over to extend their lead further to 18-nil.
Centre Regan Carr finished off a left side play with a try, with Henderson adding the two points to give the home side a 24-0 lead with 16 minutes remaining.
The attacking onslaught continued for the Raiders, with second rower Delahia Wigmore crashing over the try-line. Henderson again converted from the sideline to bring the score to 30-0.
Carr got his second try of the day just minutes later and Henderson converted to bring the final score to 36-0.
