NSW Cup & Jersey Flegg: Round Four Wrap

The Raiders remain top of the ladder in the Jersey Flegg Cup after a dominant victory over the Cronulla Sharks on Sunday afternoon. Meanwhile, the NSW Cup side had a 28-all draw with Newtown to close round four action.

Jersey Flegg Cup

The Raiders have kept their undefeated run alive, knocking over the Sharks 30-4 at PointsBet Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Raiders half Mitch Henderson returned to the Flegg side after a call-up to the NSW Cup team last week.

Henderson had a blinder, scoring a double and kicking 6/7 conversions to lead his side to a dominant win.

Local junior Regan Carr was also very busy, scoring two tries himself in a strong individual performance.

The Raiders will look to make it five from five when they host Parramatta at Raiders Belconnen this Sunday afternoon.

NSW Cup

The Raiders came back from an early deficit to claim a 28-all draw with the Newtown Jets on Saturday afternoon.

The Jets came out firing, scoring three quick tries to lead 18-nil over the Raiders in as many minutes.

Simi Sasagi shifted the momentum to the Raiders after an individual try put the visitors on the board.

The Raiders then scored five consecutive tries to gain a 28-16 advantage with just over 20 minutes to go.

Newtown hit back to level the scores 28-all with eight minutes to go. Neither side could break the deadlock, ultimately having a draw in their first meeting of the year.

The Raiders will now turn their attention to this Sunday, when they host the Eels at GIO Stadium.
